    KUBO DESIGN EXCHANGE
Having established the first and original Kubo rice and wine bar in an industrial warehouse, the 2nd Kubo, Design Exchange is located in the iconic Mies Van de Rohe designed Toronto Dominion Centre plaza, under the historic Toronto Stock Exchange. Brand elements of the original design are elevated to suit the clientele of Toronto's financial core.

Red translucent vinyl film was applied to the enclosing glass walls. Approached from the plaza at night, the bar appears as a glowing red cube. Hugging the back lit glass bar are upgraded "Biscuit" stools – leather upholstered as with the custom-designed banquettes supplemented by vintage Mies "Brno" chairs and Eames tables.

Design: John Tong, principal and designer in charge, 3rd Uncle design
